Clean Sea A voluntary initiative to curb off plastic and non-degradable debris on seashore Clean Sea is an initiative that started to keep beaches of Visakhapatnam free from all kinds of non-biodegradable waste. we focus on plastic waste that is being dumped in the ocean which reaches the seashore, collects them and takes it to municipal treatment plants. We aim to engage people of all ages in Visakhapatnam to participate in beach clean up activities that we take up on a daily basis or mostly during weekends. We have noticed that the root cause for the damage being caused to the sea is the sewage waste that is left untreated before disposing into the ocean. Also single-use plastic bottles, plastic carry bags, and styrofoam are creating massive destruction on the shore.
